JOE PERFORMS AT BENCH PRESS CONFERENCE IN PHILIPPINES!

Joe Jonas performed at the press conference at the Rizal Ballroom of the Makati Shangri-La on May 23, 2012. Joe sang “Love Slayer,” “Just In Love” and “See No More.”

Who better to choose who gets crowned as the next Miss USA than a former Bachelorette, a famous musician, E! reality star and Fashion Police cop extraodinaire?

NBC confirms to E! News that Ali Fedotowsky, Joe Jonas, Rob Kardashian and George Kotsiopoulous will join five other stars as the judges for this year’s national beauty pageant, which airs on NBC on June 3 and will be hosted by Andy Cohen and E!’s own Giuliana Rancic.

But they’re not the only famous faces we’ll see during the broadcast.

This season’s Celebrity Apprentice winner Arsenio Hall will also take on the judges panel as his first assignment from Donald Trump. Meanwhile, Kotsiopoulous’ F.P. cohost Kelly Osbourne and How Do I Look? host Jeannie Mai will serve as commentators throughout the show.

The contestants have been participating in two weeks of events and festivities leading up to the 61st annual pageant next Sunday at Planet Hollywood’s Theater for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas.

Even before he entered the hall, the fans were already screaming and chanting his name.

When award-winning American singer-songwriter and actor Joe Jonas stepped into the Rizal Ballroom of the Makati Shangri-La, they went absolutely wild.

Joe was officially launched as the newest international endorser of homegrown lifestyle and clothing company Bench on Wednesday. A number of Pinoy Jonas fans—known as JBnoys—went to the show to support him in his latest solo endeavor. Most of them had been waiting six years to catch a glimpse of the musician in person.

Joe Jonas is the lead singer of the Jonas Brothers, an American pop-rock band which has produced four albums that have sold millions of copies worldwide. In 2011, he released his debut solo album “Fastlife.”

Dressed in jeans and a white shirt with the slogan “Have fun in the Philippines” under a black jacket, Joe sang his hit singles “Love Slayer,” “Just In Love” and “See No More” to the delight of his fans, who sang along with every song.

After his performance, Joe gamely answered questions from the press and several fashion bloggers.

Joe said that the hospitality he has received while in Manila has been very warm. He has learned the phrases “Mabuhay’ and ‘Mahal ko kayo.’

When asked what else he’s learned, he said, “The food’s amazing!”

He added, “You have a lot of beautiful women here,” which earned appreciative shouts from his female fans.

Noting that the JBnoys were shouting marriage proposals, Joe was asked how many he has received so far. “I think if I said yes to every marriage proposal, I’d be married a lot of times,” he replied, smiling.

Also known as a fashion icon, Joe shared, “I like to take risks in clothing and try new things.

“It’s also nice to express your personality through your clothing. It’s something I always do and always tell my friends to do,” he said.

Aside from endorsing Bench, Joe said he wanted to visit the country to meet his fans in the Philippines for the first time.

Joe is doing a solo endorsement, without his brothers. Asked how different it would be compared to doing a project with Nick and Kevin, he responded, “I think that no matter what, me and my brothers are really supportive of each other’s projects.”

After the press interviews, Joe posed for photos with fans. He will be in the country until Sunday to meet his fans and visit Bench stores in TriNoma, Glorietta 5, and Ayala Center Cebu.

SE: JOE JONAS, ONE-ON-ONE INTERVIEW WITH NELSON CANLAS

Joe Jonas Visits Alabang Town Center 2012 - Fastlife Ayala Mall Tour

So yesterday, my loving husband secured general admission tickets for us by buying Php2000 worth of food at T.G.I.F. (Here's how one can actually get tickets for the Joe Jonas show)  at Alabang Town Center. When we got there at around 5 pm, I can already feel my husband's discomfort. We were the only adults in there except for a few parents and yayas who were accompanying their kids to the mini concert. So I just asked him to take pictures and buy us some frap at Starbucks. I know this wasn't his ideal Saturday afternoon and I am very grateful for him being there. My husband  must really, really love me for going with me despite his being sleepy and uncomfortable. (This is why I married you out of a number of guys who professed their love for me, baboo... coz you somehow "get me").  ^_^

Anyway, we waited for an hour before we finally got seated. Then we waited for another hour before the show finally started.

Whenever I watch JONAS reruns on DVD, I always wonder if the shrieking girl fans that they portray on the show is really true. Apparently, I was about to find out for myself. I was with a hundred of teens and tweens yesterday and I must've gone mute for a while with the intensity and volume of shrieks and shouts I heard.  Wow! Those girls can really shout at the top of their lungs! My heart was beating so fast the whole time but of course I controlled myself from shouting... until I finally saw Joe Jonas on stage and  MY GOD he is sooooo gorgeous! I couldn't contain myself anymore that I, too, shouted as loud as I could, not because I was in contest with these girls around me, but because I was just feeling so much that I had to let it all out, otherwise, my chest would just explode! Then my tears began to fall.... Wow... I used to only see this kind of scenario in movies or celebrity concert documentaries where fans would actually cry while watching their favorite idols. And now, it's happening to me. When Michael Jackson died, I cried non-stop and that was understandable. But to let my tears fall while watching Joe Jonas perform is pretty surreal even for me. But I didn't control myself anymore. I am a proud Joe Jonas fan and I was there to enjoy every second of it!

If there was one thing that I didn't like about this whole thing, it was the non-stop shouts of these young girls. It would have been awesome to hear every word Joe said during his interview on stage. But these girls kept shouting "I love you, Joe!" Nevertheless, seeing him in person yesterday, albeit from a distance, really made my Saturday. I consider it to be one of the happiest days of my life! I hope he comes back to the Philippines again like he said and with his two brothers Nick and Kevin in tow. And I'm hoping that next time, he'd sing more songs, sign some autographs, and have his picture taken with his fans. I love you, Joe!Here are some videos taken by one of the girls (beaisbea) in the VIP section. My videos are no good since all you could hear are the shrieks of the girls. Hehe. He sang a couple of songs last night: Fastlife, Love Slayer, See No More and Just in Love. Enjoy!

Joe Jonas has got to be one of the most gorgeous guys you'll ever meet in your lifetime. Though he lives a couple of thousand miles away from the Philippines, he still reached his fan base here through several Disney Programs that set Filipinas hearts swoon for his thick brows, mesmerizing eyes and machismo he exudes. Guys, we've got to admit he's one hell of a HOT guy. I can just imagine my friends would probably chase after him, and why not for obvious reasons. It might have been impossible to get an A List Hollywood actor in our shores but since BENCH loves us so much... they brought Joe Jonas to the Philippines!Believe it or not I even saw Mr. Ben Chan himself take care of this set and the venue. He made sure everyone was comfortable when we got in. Isn't that just amazing that the owner of the company himself is doing all of these?! I really admire his work ethic.Raymond Gutierrez hosted the meet and greet to the delight of the audience. He was able to pull of a couple of games for the fans. That part is just so adorable.

Then when he came out... it was pandemonium!

Joe Jonas is now the newest endorser of BENCH.His campaign would probably concentrate on the BENCH line of jeans and shirts which he truly adored when he got here. His style now is relaxed yet he makes it a point to still have his personality come out on each garment he wears when he's out on a gig. For this particular day he wore a "Have Fun In The Philippines" shirt, Bench Varsity Jacket and Bench OJ Pants. He was really good looking. No doubt, BENCH is definitely going to include him on future campaigns and this warm welcome from the management and the Filipinos would be something memorable for Joe Jonas. He's also went to Cebu for Mall tours and a couple of performances. He sang a couple of songs for us that evening to the delight of all the guys and girls there! I'm sure people will love him more now that he's in the best brand in the country! Welcome to the BENCH Family Joe Jonas!

MANILA, Philippines – Joe Jonas, member of pop trio the Jonas Brothers, has described going solo as “a journey.”

“It’s been exciting. It’s been about a year since I made the record (‘Fastlife’), and there’s been a lot of traveling. It’s a lot on me, you know, I realized how much I depend on my brothers because I’ve done this for so long with them. When I’m doing [things] by myself I was, like, I’m realizing how much I appreciate having them around,” he told “Paparazzi” host Ruffa Gutierrez in an exclusive taped one-on-one interview aired on May 26.

Online reports say that the band is currently on hiatus.

Jonas then compared being a solo artist to being a band member.

“I think it’s just a different mindset. You have to kinda speak up a little bit more. With your brothers, there’s opportunities to lean on each other and say, ‘Okay, you know what, you take this interview,’ or phoner or something like this.

“Me, personally, by myself, I had to make all these decisions and you have to really say ‘yes’ to this, or, ‘I want my stage to look like this,’ and have really a say. It’s definitely a learning process,” he said.

Jonas admitted not feeling any pressure coming from a popular group, but added, “I think I put the pressure on myself to do the best I could do and to make sure that I really focus. Luckily, I come from a family that [has] kept each other grounded for so long…”

Meanwhile, asked what it would take to impress him, the singer replied, “probably an incredible talent.”

He related, “I think I’m most impressed by people that are either musically-gifted or gifted in any way, I mean, if it’s acting [or] if it’s some sort of talent. I’ve always been impressed by… when I see fans do that, they’re like, ‘Hey, can I show you… can I sing for you?’ I’m like, ‘Sure!’

“Confidence is always impressive,” he points out.

Jonas has been in the Philippines since May 22 for his activities as local clothing brand Bench’s latest international endorser, and one thing that has left an impression on him is the local cuisine.

“I had some pork, some local fish… All the food was incredible. I’m a fan. And it’s funny because the pork was a lot smaller than us Americans are used to. I was, like, thinking that that was just the appetizer, not the whole meal,” he said.

We just found out that Joe Jonas voiced a character in the cartoon “Total Drama Island.” Joe lent his voice to Episode 10 of Season 4 titled “Find That Egg.” Did you tune in for the episode, which aired in March?

Here’s a description of the show from IMDB:

MANILA STANDARD TODAY: THAT JONAS BROTHER

When Joe Jonas enters the room, he has a smile for everyone seated before a long table, mostly female members of the press. He makes an effort to go around the room, shake everyone’s hand and say that person’s name while saying hello.

Joe, who teenagers will know as one-third of the very popular Jonas Brothers, just arrived in Manila on a 16-hour flight from the United States via Guam.

“I have Filipino friends back home. I am looking forward to bragging to my brothers about being here,” said Joe, who was in town to hold a series of shoes at the Ayala Malls.

Ayala Malls, the premiere lifestyle and shopping destination continuously shapes the lifestyle of Filipinos with Style Origin. This month, fashion and music collide as Ayala Malls brings American singer and actor Joe Jonas for a series of performances for Style Origin.

Cultivating local style and making it known to the global platform, Style Origin redefines and elevates the retail experience with a series of unique lifestyle events, showing the best of local and foreign talents, only Ayala Malls can combine. A synergy of beauty, fashion, and music, Style Origin aims to educate Filipinos, as it shapes their lifestyle choices. Known for his innovative music and sartorial taste, Joe syncs his “Fastlife” with this year’s Style Origin, lending his style, encompassing fashion and music.

Joe shares that he has been traveling across Europe and South America for the past year. Before coming to the Philippines, he visited his brother Nick, who is working on Broadway.

Joe started working on solo material in early 2010 with the intention of combining the sounds and atmospheres of music he loves the most—Pop/Dance, Hip-Hop, Techno and House Music.

“I wanted to make this album something a club DJ would listen to,” he says. Throughout the year and into the Spring of 2011, Jonas traveled to Miami and New York to work in the studio with Danja, and would return to Los Angeles to work with Knox and songwriter James Fauntleroy who was all praises to the teen heartthrob. “I’ve written with everybody,” says Fauntleroy, “and a lot of them have no clue what to write. But Joe, he can WRITE. Working with him, the songs come so fast and easy,” he adds.

True to his chosen genres, Jonas finds inspiration through LA and Miami club culture, checking out DJs and see how they work with the crowd, and experiencing the music and vibe varying from city to city. He hopes to bring the energy of a night club with him in this album, “as if you could bring that kickin’ club vibe to everyone coming out to the show,” he says.

Turning 21 has made a huge impact on the sound and direction of the album, a lot to do with coming of age as he says. “You’re older, you’re able to go out with your friends, kick back, dance, whatever you wanted, but just get out there and have a good time. And this is the music I associate with that feeling – it’s the sound that lifts me up.” Jonas says. He also tells he needed to push himself when it came to writing lyrics. “I realized that music is my one opportunity I have to just get out there and say something that I’ve been holding back. So I’ve been forcing myself to write really honest lyrics, which is not always easy. But this time, there’s holding nothing back. This is what I’m all about now.”

From the first electric moments of his debut single, the heartbreaking, danceable, yet soulful chart topper, ‘See no More,’ co-written with Chris Brown, to his infectious second single, ‘Just in Love,’ which debuted at number two at the iTunes video charts, Jonas has definitely discovered his new voice. His solo album, ‘Fastlife’ debuted in the Top 15 releases for the week of October 11, 2011. Praised not only by his loyal fans, he has also earned solid reviews from music critics with Entertainment Weekly saying “the JoBro lead heartthrob sheds teen-pop tremors for sensitive-guy cool on this sultry midtempo torch song.”

Aside from his accomplished musical career and steady throng of fans, Joe is also often highly regarded for his style choices, becoming a favorite of influential designers worldwide, including Simon Spurr and Calvin Klein.

“I love shoes,” he revealed. “I also love color and taking risks.”

Oh, in case anyone wants to know, Joe likes American Idol finalist Jessica Sanchez.

“My brother Frankie was the one who told me to listen to Jessica. I’d be surprised if she doesn’t win (Note: This was a day before the final results show.),” said Joe.

Joe Jonas Talks About “The Next: Fame Is At Your Doorstep”

Joe Jonas will be judging a new singing competition called “The Next: Fame Is At Your Doorstep.” The show is being produced by Dave Broome and Queen Latifah and it will air on the CW in August! Joe recently spoke with Ryan Seacrest about the show, saying :

The series is a music talent show, I’m really excited about it…I’m going to be moving in with someone. The judges will be going to different cities in the states. There will be four people auditioning in each city and these artists are going to be either people that had a chance in the past, maybe they possibly got dropped from a record label. Also there will be people that are local stars or local celebrities. I’m going to be living with them for 72 hours, I’m going to be spending time with their families, learning about them, say they flip burgers, I’m going to be flipping burgers with them, just so that its really hands-on so that I can really get to know this artist so that we can work together for this audition. It’s going to be a lot of fun I am really looking forward to it.

JOE JONAS IS GOING TO BE A REALITY SHOW JUDGE

Joe Jonas has signed up to be on another T.V. show, but this time he’ll be searching for potential superstars.

Joe explained “I’m going to be spending time with their families, learning about them. Say they flip burgers, I’m going to be flipping burgers with them, just so that it’s really hands-on so that I can get to know this artist so that we can work together for this audition.”

CAN YOU IMAGINE A TOUR FEATURING 1D, THE JOBROS, & THE WANTED?

Seeing them together would probably be a dream come true for their fans! ☺☺

At the moment, this legendary concert isn't going to happen, but Joe Jonas left the door open to the possibility of a huge show featuring the three boy bands. ♥

Joe got asked what he thought of 1D and the Wanted, and he said:

"I’m happy for One Direction, I’m happy for The Wanted. I think those guys are all really good people. I’m glad it’s happening to them." ☻

And now for the important question - what would Joe do if the Wanted and 1D proposed the idea of a joint concert with the JoBros?

"I would say yes. I think my music is different from the way they sound. But, I’m always open to the opportunity.”

Wow...that would be an amazing show! Now we wonder what One Direction and the Wanted think of this.

And what about you Wambie girls - what do you think? Would you like to see these three groups on the same stage? ♦
