Another tween idol comes of age in the spotlight, and all eyes are on the transformation from wholesome Disney product to daring musical artiste. Miley, Britney, Justin and their ilk all went through the process, some with more difficulty than others, some with greater levels of public acceptability. Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers, a cross between Hanson and the Black Keys (not really), is now taking his solo turn, stepping up the game with a slick new look, club-friendly tracks, and, oh em gee, a sexily suggestive video with a French beauty. YStyle had a quick chat with the 22-year-old, who is in Manila for Ayala Malls’ Style Origin and as the latest international Bench endorser.

YSTYLE: So I hear you’re the fashionista among the three. How do you differentiate yourself, style wise, from your brood?

Joe JONAS: We have different pieces that we bring to the table. I’m a bit more daring, I like things that pop, bright colors. Nick is a bit more conservative, his style is more Brooks Brothers, suits.

Making the transition from boy band to mature solo artist can be tricky. Whose career crossover would you like to emulate?

I look to older artists like Mick Jagger, he’s really been able to put his feet in solo stuff but also have the band always there. Even Chris Martin sang songs on the side. I want to be able to put the band first, and solo stuff second. I think it’s the same with my brothers, the band always comes first. That’s how we got here.

You told Details that you don’t want to make music that your fans would be embarrassed about. Does this mean you don’t connect with your old music anymore?

Personally, I shy away from music that I listened to when I was 13, or I won’t admit that I listened to it. So I wanted to make music that grows up with my fans, and keep them drawn to it. It’s also my own mindset of what I listen to and how my music taste changes as I get older.

Who have you been listening to, putting together your album “Fastlife”?

Everyone from a lot of DJs like Tiesto, Calvin Harris, Deadmau5, Chris Brown. R&B artists have inspired me a lot. I had a great team around me who helped cultivate the idea and come up with the sound I wanted to do. I had ideas in my mind — pop, R&B, dance elements. It’s just the beginning, I want to continue to create solo sounds.

How do you reconcile your background and Christian upbringing with the person you want to now be in the industry?

It’s all part of growing up, you take some and leave some of what you grew up with. Me and my brothers, we grew up in the spotlight for the last six or seven years. Growing up with everyone’s eyes on you is obviously very difficult but luckily we had a great family to do that with and it’s rewarding to be able to have each other. The places you want to travel to, the music you want to write and tell stories about are different. I’m always going to be the same guy, the experiences that I went through are what made me who I am.

But you don’t wear a purity ring anymore?

I’d rather not talk about that.

Joe Jonas together with Bench joins Ayala Malls as it celebrates Style Origin. Catch him at TriNoma Activity Center on May 25, 4 p.m. and Greenbelt 3 Park, 7 p.m., Alabang Town Center on May 26, 7 p.m. and Ayala Center Cebu on May 27, 3 p.m.

For its 25th, local retail giant Bench blows out the birthday candles with pop phenom Joe Jonas and an exciting new collaboration. Yes, Philippines, it’s love bug again.

There aren’t many better ways to break the ice than to offer someone you just met a massage.

“Do you like massages?” Isabelle Daza asks Joe Jonas. And before he can answer, a beat; “Not from me!” Belle exclaims, realizing that the whole table had turned their heads toward her. “I mean there are lots of places to get good massages here!” Well, you can’t blame a girl for getting tongue-tied, especially where Disney-approved pop stars are concerned.

It’s Tuesday evening and the 23-year-old Joe and a select few of Bench’s friends and family are huddled together in a private room in Budhha Bar having dinner. The core team of Bench are here of course—everyone from retail visionary Ben Chan to staple Bench stylist Noel Manapat—as well as endorsers past and present (from Lucy Torres-Gomez to Borgy Manotoc). Although he just flew in this morning, everyone’s asking him how he finds Manila, what he’s done already, and what he should do—the way Filipinos are wont to do with any tourist, famous or not.

Except we were wrong. Joe doesn’t exactly need An Idiot’s Guide to Manila, not when Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, the part-Filipina actress who played Ashley Dewitt on the hit Disney show Hannah Montana, is a good friend. “I learned a lot about the Philippines through her actually,” Joe says. “She’d mention some things and places sometimes… And I don’t mind the heat. I love it. Sometimes you just wanna get out of the cold.”

Throughout the dinner, he’s quiet and a bit reserved, as if, ironically, he’s not really used to crowds. But he indulges us anyway. Pacquiao? “Yeah, I actually saw a Pacquiao fight. That guy’s awesome.” Beer? He orders himself some Pale Pilsen. Too Hollywood for us? Nope, he actually uses a fork to eat sushi.

At one point, he kind of gazes out into empty space, as if lost at his own party. “Are you having a Lost in Translation moment?” I ask him. “No,” he says, laughing. “I was just thinking how chill everything is. Everyone’s talking in English and talking about restaurants in L.A.” When Georgina Wilson mentions the famous Kogi food truck in L.A. he says, “Oh, awesome. You know Kogi? You’re my favorite people right now!” It doesn’t take a lot of getting used to, apparently.

“He’s so chill,” Ava Daza remarks. “He’s just like my kabarkada or something!”

The next morning, during his one-on-ones with the press, Joe is effusive and amiable, a lighter presence than you’d expect those Hollywood types to be. He flew in Tuesday morning, did shop visits in the afternoon (apparently, the Glorietta visit got pretty wild, if Instagram’s anything to go by), had dinner with the Bench team at night, tried to get sleep, and went straight to the press appearance today. “Yeah, I woke up at 4 a.m. and spent an hour wondering how to get back to sleep,” he admits, laughing.

But the jet lag doesn’t show and in a discussion about everything from independence to riding “g-peas” (read: jeepneys), I find that the middle Jonas is his own man, with tricks up his sleeve and the drive to break away from the Disney tag.

YOUNG STAR: Okay, so let’s start things off with the reason you’re here: What made you sign up with Bench? I’m sure you get a lot of offers and the Philippines is so far away from L.A. What about the brand made you go the extra mile?

JOE JONAS: I signed up with Bench because it was such a great partnership. They have such great clothes, first of all. It’s also my first trip to the Philippines. It’s the first time anyone’s ever invited me over here and me and my brothers, we always wanted to play concerts over here.

That’s right, you have a pretty big following here.

Yeah, it’s really exciting, you know. You go to a city like… I went to Africa and I didn’t know what it’d be like and people had (Jonas Brothers) T-shirts! It was the same thing with this.

I was so shocked at the (Bench) stores, I was just all smiles because I was so overwhelmed having that kind of response here. The fans are so supportive and I didn’t even know I had fans here.

I remember early on, you and your brothers used to rock a kind of preppy look with the suits and the button-downs. Now I see you being more street, with the sneakers and the T-shirts. How would you describe your style? It seems like a constantly evolving thing.

Yeah, definitely evolving… Me and my brothers were so young at the start of all this so we kind of told ourselves that we wanted to be taken seriously so we really dressed up. We had suits and all that and we liked dressing that way. But you know we’re older now and we have facial hair and we can’t help it. (Laughs)

We don’t really focus on that anymore. Let’s just have fun with clothing. Let’s have bright colors. Me, personally, I’ve always liked bright colors and I’ve always loved to take risks onstage. When I look at clothing, I always see if I can use it onstage, whether it’s a sneaker that could be comfortable but kind of pops, or a jacket that would be nice to wear. I’m always looking for something different from the normal.

You went to the store yesterday, right? What kind of items did you check out? Any favorites?

I think the polos are really cool. I like how everything’s really fitted well. That’s something people are starting to capture in the US too. People are liking clothing that fits well.

I thought the shirts were really cool too. I’m a T-shirt kind of guy. T-shirts and jeans are basically all I have. So when I see a good T-shirt, I jump on it.

Yeah, with some American brands, the shirts are a bit billowy.

Yeah, that’s true… And the clothes (from Bench are made from) good fabric. They’re really comfortable and it’s just nice to wear.

It’s been three years since (the last Jonas Brothers album) “Lines, Vines, & Trying Times” and it seems like you guys are really taking control of the music now.

Yeah, it’s really exciting because now it’s all about creating the music. Being able to get in the studio again with my brothers has just been an exciting process.

What kind of direction do you think you guys will be going in?

Direction? I think we’re still exploring the process right now. We’re not really sure exactly yet whereabouts that will go. I think it could be dance, it could be rock, it could be pop but we wanna challenge ourselves as musicians and also give the fans something they’ll like… though of course it’s gonna be different from years ago because it’s been so long.

Yeah, I mean your solo album “Fastlife” (released last year) was a bit more clubby and Nick’s doing Broadway. So with all that, and such a long time after the last Jonas Brothers album, which Jonas Brothers song do you not mind playing and which song are you like, ‘Oh God. We need to play this one?’

(Laughs) I like that question.

Yeah, you were so young. I mean, I wouldn’t wanna be doing what I was doing when I was 16.

Yeah, for me, to be really honest, the songs that made your career when you were younger are the ones you kind of, from playing it so many times, you get tired of?

For a while, Year 3000 was a song that like, okay, can we not play this anymore? And me and my brothers were looking at each other and like, okay, guys, we have to play the hit song for the fans. So we change it up a little bit. We’ll do acoustic or a little more rock or a little more funky, just to keep us excited.

A song I love to perform, right now, is a song called I’m Sorry. It’s a song I was really able to pour my heart out in. I just felt really passionate about it. And with my brothers, it’s When You Look Me In The Eyes. That’s a song where people’s eyes really water up and you see couples holding hands. You see how a song has touched them and for me, that’s an amazing feeling.

Well, for me, you just have to play Much Better and Love Bug, which is one of my shower songs. My not-so-guilty pleasures.

Oh, I love it! Those are some of my favorites too. That’s awesome. Thanks, man… Love Bug was also one of my favorite videos to film. It was so much fun.

You went a bit more club-oriented with “Fastlife.” Was it because you were going out more and stuff like that?

Yeah, it’s really a mixture of that and it’s just really a coming-of-age record for me. As I got older, I was able to hang out and hang out with friends and discover music on my own. I felt like that was the kind of vibe I was feeling. I was really proud of that record. I was really happy to create something different because I’d been with my brothers for so long.

The nice thing, again, with creating new music with my brothers is we’ll be able to pull those different inspirations together. Nick and the theatrical stuff he’s done, the club music and dance records that I did, even the inspiration of Kevin… I mean, he’s gotten married since last we wrote. There are a lot of things he’s gone through and is going through — good and bad — and he’ll be able to put that in the music. We’ll all be able to put it together.

A long way from the Year 3000 days.

Exactly. (Laughs)

Okay, so you’re doing (the dating show) The Choice, right?

Yeah, I did one episode. I think people thought it was like The Bachelor a little bit but it really was just for fun and something like The Voice.

(Laughs) The Choice and The Voice?

Exactly. (Laughs) I can’t give away too much but it’s a dating show with a bunch of really nice girls and they have an opportunity to go out on a date with celebrities. So it was a lot of fun. At first I was a little bit, I don’t wanna do a show like this. It’s not really me. But I had so much fun and I think America and maybe the world will think it’s great.

Hopefully, you guys get it over here?

Yeah, we usually get a lot of the shows. Doing a reality show though and your brother doing (the reality show) Married to Jonas kind of opens your lives up to the public. Why the decision to let the public into your lives?

That’s a good question. Yeah, sometimes it’s nice to be able to say you don’t want to talk about this or that in an interview because that’s one thing you keep to yourself. For Kevin and Dani, a lot of the world’s gonna see every second of their life, whether it’s them brushing their teeth or them getting into a fight. Me and Nick are gonna be in and out of the TV show. It’s not really about us. It’s more about their marriage.

But obviously, you know, the one time time I see Kevin five days ago, there were cameras. There’s gonna be a lot of me and my brothers but I think it’s good for Kevin and Dani because they’re really fun to watch. Me and my friends are always laughing because the arguments they get into and the situations and the trips they take are just so elaborate and so funny, we always say, “You need a TV show. You guys are too hilarious.”

For instance, in the trailer, Kevin’s taking longer to get ready than Dani.

Hey he has curls, right? Cut him some slack.

Exactly! I think it’s gonna be a lot of fun to watch.

Okay, after all the press and appearances, what’s one thing you’re looking to do before you leave the Philippines?

See, I don’t know if this still happens but I heard you can get soda in a plastic bag here. (Laughs)

You can. (Turns to Joe’s team) You need to take him there.

And I wanna ride one of those g-peas…

Jeepneys?

Jeepneys! I need to get in on one. I think I have to. And also the motorcycle taxis, the tricycles. Yeah, I’m down for anything. I think we’re doing that (Intramuros) walking tour today (with Carlos Celdran). And then obviously we’ll be bouncing around the city so I’m just going to try to eat as much food as I can. (Laughs)

JOE! JOE! JOE!” the press conference has barely startled and the fans—mostly teenage and pre-teen girls—are going insane. Without a live band, even without his brothers to share stage duties, Joe Jonas has the crowd in the palm of his hand. Serving up energetic versions of solo songs like Just in Love, he proves to anyone doubting the power of a solo Jonas that where teenage girls are concerned, he can still make theme scream.

“I bumped into my theater student and she was crying!” Young STAR’s Christopher De Venecia tells me, when I bump into him. “She was in line for the meet and greet but she didn’t make it to the cut-off. Lines, vines, trying times, and tears? It was definitely an emotional moment for the Jonas faithful. Preview girls Eunice Lucero and Isha Andaya actually ended up taking photos for some of the fans who were too far from the stage to get a good photo. “You’re my husband, Joe! You are!” and “You’re so hot! You’re hotter now!”—out of the mouths of babes.

INTERVIEW – MANILA BURNS UP FOR JONAS

JUST IN LOVE–WITH JOE JONAS (PHILIPPINES)

JOE JONAS ON MUSIC, STYLE AND PINOYS

The screams, shrieks and singing of fans filled the Makati Shangri-La’s Rizal Ballroom as they welcomed pop singer Joe Jonas, who is here as Bench’s newest ambassador.

The 22-year-old Jonas, who shot to fame as lead vocalist of The Jonas Brothers—one of the three brothers—sang to a small but high-spirited group of female fans last Wednesday. The girls went euphoric over such hits as “Just In Love” and “See No More.”

They screamed along to every word, and shouted, “We love you, Joe!” and “You’re sexier now!”

“I love you, too!” Joe shot back.

Fans also had a meet-and-greet with their idol, and joined a pop quiz with the event’s host, Raymond Gutierrez. (Winners of the quiz took home Bench gift certificates.)

This is Jonas’ first visit to the Philippines. He wanted to see the Philippines and this was one of the reasons he accepted the offer to endorse Bench.

He says he found the brand’s clothing “really cool, something I would usually wear,” particularly the polo shirts.

“I also get to perform here and meet the fans,” he added.

Now a solo artist with his own album, “Fastlife,” Jonas described his new sound as something more for dance.

“Me and my brothers have different [musical] inspirations,” he said. “I’ve been more influenced by R ’n’ B.”

Bench CEO Ben Chan led the welcome. “It’s more fun in Bench,” Chan said, to the roaring approval of fans.

Jonas will visit Bench stores to meet more fans—Trinoma on May 25; Glorietta 5, May 26; and Ayala Center Cebu, May 27.

MANILA, Philippines – American singer Joe Jonas is in town for his endorsement of local clothing brand Bench, which has already recruited international stars like Lucy Hale of “Pretty Little Liars” and “American Idol” finalist David Archuleta.

Wearing a shirt that says “Have fun in the Philippines” under his black jacket, Jonas performed before the press and a select number of fans at the Makati Shangri-La hotel on Wednesday afternoon.

“It’s my first time in the Philippines. I’m happy to be here,” he said.

Jonas rose to fame as the lead singer of Jonas Brothers, his pop-rock band with siblings Nick and Kevin. This time, however, he sheds his teen heartthrob image and dishes out dance and R&B hits from his solo album, “Fastlife.”

“The big difference is in the sound. You know, me and my brothers, we have different inspirations and personalities. Me, I love R&B music, I love dance music. I’ve always been trying to add that on to the Jonas Brothers’ music,” he explained in between screams of fans composed of mostly teens and college kids.

“Now, I’m really focused on dance and R&B,” he added. “Me and my brothers are very supportive of each other’s projects.”

Personal style

Jonas shared that he knew about Bench via the Internet while he was in the United States, describing its products as “really cool.”

When he was tapped to become the clothing brand’s newest ambassador, the American singer said he agreed right away.

“I’ve never been to the Philippines, so I said yes right away,” he said. “I got to meet the fans, I get to travel and see your beautiful country.

“Your place is fun and warm, and the food is amazing. Beautiful women, too.”

Asked about his personal style, Jonas said: “I like to take a risk in clothing, to stand out a bit. I like to express my personality through clothing.

“I always tell my male friends to try different clothes and to try a new color.”

Fans at the event noted that Jonas will add an edgy feel to Bench, which is known for its basic tees and jeans.

They added that the American singer will be a refreshing addition to its roster of endorsers, who are mostly hunks and sexy actresses.

Bench is currently the top brand among Filipino teens, according to a study titled “The Teen Research Unlimited: 2012.”

Aside from its long list of local celebrity endorsers such as Richard Gomez and Kim Chiu, the 25-year-old company has recruited a handful of international stars such as Jonas and “The Vampire Diaries” actor Michael Trevino.

Rivalry with Penshoppe

However, Bench still faces tough competition as other local brands have been doing the same as well.

Rival Penshoppe, for instance, has tapped Trevino’s co-star, Ian Somerhalder, as one of its latest endorsers. A press conference for the actor was held in Manila the same day Bench had the event for Jonas.

Penshoppe’s other endorsers include “Gossip Girl” stars Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick, and Hollywood actor Zac Efron.

Alex Mendoza, Penshoppe’s brand director, explained that Penshoppe has “leveled up” — first in terms of merchandise and second, through a redesign of its flagship stores.

He explained that the reason behind the foreign endorsers is to give Penshoppe “external validation.”

“It’s our way of saying that Penshoppe has made it globally and that the clothing is being worn by these big stars,” he said during the Somerhalder press conference.

Kamiseta, a popular local brand of ladies’ apparel, meanwhile has Katie Holmes as its endorser.

Beyond the competition, however, is the fact that Filipino brands are slowly gaining a spot in the global market – the same way foreign labels are trying to adapt to local tastes by tapping Filipino celebrities to endorse their products.

Japanese fashion brand Uniqlo, for instance, has chosen Kapamilya stars Iza Calzado and Nikki Gil, basketball player Chris Tiu and Parokya Ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda as its “Philippine cast.”

The company is set to open its first store in the country next month with the help of retail giant SM.

JOE JONAS TO ATTEND 2ND ANNUAL BOMBERS BOOMER BROADWAY CELEBRITY SOFTBALL GAMES!

TV.COM: OUR 10 MOST ANTICIPATED NEW SHOWS FOR SUMMER 2012

9. The Choice (Fox)
When it’s on: Thursdays starting June 7
Who’s in it: Pauly D, some football players, Joe Jonas, Carmen Electra, and a bunch of other people you won’t remember in five years.
What it’s about: This dating show rip-off of The Voice features male faux-lebrities choosing women to court based solely on the sound of their voice and the disgusting sexual innuendo of their simple-minded words. And just to prove that men can be just as desperate, the roles will be swapped after a few episodes. This is going to be a complete train wreck and is our top pick for “guilty pleasure that will last three episodes.” It’s cool to anticipate total failure, right?

International recording star Joe Jonas vies for love on THE CHOICE - and AD  got the exclusive first look.
Filmed in front of a live audience, each episode begins with four of the world’s most eligible bachelors sitting in rotating chairs, turning their backs on love and unable to see the sexy singles looking for a date with fame. In this initial “Blind Round,” each celebrity can only use his suitors’ voices – as they share information about their life, passions, turn-ons and turn-offs – to help himself make THE CHOICE.  When the celebrity bachelor likes what he hears, he pulls his “love handle,” spinning his chair around to bring him face-to-face for the first time with his potential mate. If more than one celebrity pulls the handle, they must battle it out for her affection until the sexy single gets THE CHOICE to pick whose dating pool she wants to swim in.

Joe Jonas will be sitting next to Seth Wescott, Parker Young and Mike Catherwood in this new episode of THE CHOICE airing Thursday, June 14 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Joe Jonas Interview On KISS 102.7 FM

Today in an interview with Joe Jonas ad that will be part of a new show called “” The Next: Fame Is At Your Doorstep “. Starts in August.

Joe Jonas arrives at the Miss USA 2012 pageant held at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Sunday (June 3) in Las Vegas.

The 22-year-old musician was just one of four judges for the annual competition.

During the final round, Joe presented a question about reality show Toddlers & Tiaras to Miss Maryland Nana Meriwether. She replied, “Stereotypical shows like that do paint a bad picture of pageantry, but we are beautiful and strong women.”

Miss Rhode Island Olivia Culpo was crowned Miss USA 2012 at the end of

On “The Next: Fame Is At Your Doorstep”
“The Next,” is set to premiere on the CW in August, is a singing competition produced by Dave Broome and Queen Latifah, featuring judges Joe Jonas, Gloria Estefan, John Rich, and Nelly as they move in with contestants for 72 hours for the ultimate mentoring experience.

“The series is a music talent show, I’m really excited about it…I’m going to be moving in with someone. The judges will be going to different cities in the states. There will be four people auditioning in each city and these artists are going to be either people that had a chance in the past, maybe they possibly got dropped from a record label. Also there will be people that are local stars or local celebrities.”
But where will Judge Joe be staying? ”I’m going to be living with them for 72 hours, I’m going to be spending time with their families, learning about them, say they flip burgers, I’m going to be flipping burgers with them, just so that its really hands-on so that I can really get to know this artist so that we can work together for this audition. It’s going to be a lot of fun I am really looking forward to it.”

On Judging The Miss USA Pageant

“Well when Miss Rhode Island answered the audience gave her a standing ovation. I walked up to her afterwards and asked ‘How did you do that question so well?’ That was a really tough question, the world is watching her and what she says and you have to be really careful. The way she went over it so well, for me that is what won me over, her great answer.” But was that the only thing? Was the judge able to remain impartial? “The bathing suits definitely helped, I’m not gonna lie!” “What’s funny about the show is that I’m not even allowed to see any of the contestants. I wasn’t allowed to see any of the contestants until we judged, or their families, because they said their families are so aggressive.” Joe reminds, ”In the past years, they’ve offered (the judges) things like cars to let their daughters win, they’ve offered them massive houses in say, Maryland. Random stuff like that.

Joe Jonas called in to On Air With Ryan Seacrest Monday to chat about judging last night’s Miss USA pageant, as well as exclusively announce his involvement in ”The Next: Fame Is At Your Doorstep.”

On One Direction Members Keeping Their Relationships a Secret:
“I think they definitely want people to think they’re single. I mean, I’ve been through it you know, and I get it and I understand that it’s important.” Joe continued, ”I can always tell if they do have a girlfriend or if they don’t. If they’re like, ‘Oh, I’d rather not talk about it…’ Or they’re like, ‘I like to keep my personal life to myself,’ it’s like, ‘Buddy, your personal life is all over everywhere, what are you talking about?’”

 On Demi Lovato’s X-Factor Gig:

“I think she’s going to be great. I’m so happy for her, we spoke about it and she is in such a good place right now and I know that she is going to be able to really influence a lot of people out there, not only people that have gone through a tough time, it’s a great thing for her.”

Where can you next see Joe? He is set to appear in the FOX show “The Choice”, a blind dating show that matches celebrities with fans, which premieres June 7. Also both Joe and Nick Jonas will be making appearances on big brother Kevin‘s E! reality show ”Married To Jonas,” a show chronicling newlyweds Kevin and Danielle Jonas as they attempt a life of suburban normalcy. The show will also feature The Jonas Brothers busy at work recording their upcoming album, the first in three years.

PRESS RELEASE: HIP-HOP ARTIST NELLY AND MUSICIAN AND ACTOR JOE JONAS JOIN ‘THE NEXT: FAME IS AT YOUR DOORSTEP’

June 4, 2012 (Burbank, CA) – The CW has filled out the cast of its upcoming singing competition series as Grammy Award-winning rapper and actor Nelly and Grammy Award-nominated musician and actor Joe Jonas have joined THE NEXT: FAME IS AT YOUR DOORSTEP (formerly titled “The Star Next Door”) as the final two celebrity mentors. The series premiere date and time will be announced at a later date.

From executive producer and hip-hop icon Queen Latifah, along with executive producers Dave Broome (“The Biggest Loser”) and Shakim Compere, THE NEXT: FAME IS AT YOUR DOORSTEP will Go On a nationwide search for undiscovered artists on the verge of stardom. In this new take on the music competition genre, superstar mentors Jonas, Nelly, pop legend Gloria Estefan, and country star John Rich will travel to where the talent is, immersing themselves in the lives and towns of these local performers and preparing them for the chance to represent their home city on stage, live, in front of America. THE NEXT is produced by CBS’s Raquel Productions Inc., in association with 25/7 Productions, LLC and Flavor Unit Entertainment, Inc.

Nelly, who will be releasing his highly-anticipated sixth studio album in the fall, charged onto the hip-hop scene in the summer of 2000 with his groundbreaking debut album, Country Grammar, much to the delight of the legions of fans that now rank him among hip-hop’s premier artists. Ranked No. 3 on Billboard’s definitive list of the best-selling artists of the 2000s, Nelly has not only sold more than 30 million albums/singles, but he also tied with Elton John for the most consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart by a male solo artist. Beyond music, Nelly also released a fitness DVD called Celebrity Sweat in September 2010, and his hugely successful Apple Bottoms clothing line for women has expanded to include fragrance, handbags and accessories, footwear, intimates, swimsuits, plus sizes, scrubs, sunglasses, optical, jewelry, girls wear, and infant apparel. In addition to recently acquiring the rights to the Troop clothing line, Nelly is the CEO of his own label, Derrty Ent., co-owner of the Charlotte Bobcats NBA expansion team, and founder of two non-profit organizations, 4Sho4Kids and Jes Us 4 Jackie.

Joe Jonas is an international talent in both the music, television and film arenas. Joe and his brothers burst onto the music scene in August 2007 with their self-titled debut album, which made the top five albums on the Billboard charts and was soon certified double platinum. With the release of the band’s second album, the Jonas Brothers became the first artist ever to have three albums on the Billboard Top 10 at once – Jonas Brothers, A Little Bit Longer and the Camp Rock soundtrack. In 2009, they released Lines, Vines and Trying Times, a global hit that became their second #1 album in one year. Since then, the Jonas Brothers have sold a combined 20 million units worldwide and earned over 40 Gold & Platinum record certifications. They received their first Grammy nomination in 2008 for Best New Artist, and have won nearly 50 awards across the globe, including an American Music Award. Joe and his brothers have embarked on eight world and regional tours over the past six years, performing for over three million fans. “Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience” opened to become the second highest grossing concert film of all time. With an unrelenting passion for music, Joe’s solo album, FastLife, debuted in the Top 15 releases for the week of October 11, 2011. Joe and the Change for the Children Foundation have teamed up with Special Olympics to host fun runs around the world to raise money for Special Olympics. The Jonas Brothers have raised $4.5 million for Change for the Children to date. Currently, Joe is back in the studio working on highly anticipated new music with his brothers.

ARTICLE: JOE JONAS JOINS NEW CW REALITY SHOW, THE NEXT: FAME IS AT YOUR DOORSTEP

Okay, JoBro fans, we know you’ve been anxiously awaiting new music from Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas, and while they promise us it’s on the horizon, unfortunately there’s nothing set in stone. But, to hold you over until the bros make their anticipated comeback, Joe Jonas is set to star on a brand-new CW show, The Next: Fame Is At Your Doorstep.

Joe called into Ryan Seacrest’s radio show this morning to discuss his new project, much to fans’ delight. In the new music competition show, which airs in August, Joe, along with fellow judges Nelly, Gloria Estefan and John Rich, will be mentoring four artists around the country in their quest to make it big. Not only will Joe be his contestants’ mentor, but he will be living in their houses for 72 hours in order to really get a feel for who they are as artists. Yep, that’s right, Joe Jonas could be living in your town very soon. Joe told Ryan:

“I’m gonna be spending time with their families [in order to] learn about them. Say they flip burgers, I’m gonna be flipping burgers.” Stars, they’re just like us.

Not to worry, Jonas fans who think Joe is delaying the recording-process. Little bro Nick tweeted his support shortly after Joe’s big announcement:

“@joejonas so excited for you bro… #joejthenext”

If Joe’s feeling a little nervous about taking on this new role, perhaps he could ask fellow popstar Kelly Clarkson who mentors contestants in another music show, Duets, for a little advice. Hm, the two shows seem pretty similar if you ask us.

What do you think about Joe’s announcement? Will you be tuning in? Should Joe continue to be on reality TV (The Choice airs on Wednesday), or should he stick to music?

Nick & Joe Jonas Are In The Bahamasn The Bahamas

E! ONLINE: CAUGHT! JONAS BROTHERS HIT THE BAHAMAS

Hmm…wonder what’s up with that? Aren’t you supposed to have that relaxed Bahama vibe on vacay, Mr. Jonas?

Anyway…the dudes then disappeared for a while before posting up in the Dragon’s Lounge club in the casino, where they flaunted their celebrity status (so much for staying incognito!):

“It’s pretty ritzy,” our source said of the club. “They were dancing in a roped-off VIP section and around 1 a.m. they left with a huge entourage of all guys, including Ugly Betty alumni and future Partner’s star Michael Urie—who was rocking a highlighter-yellow polo.”

And before long, the giddy fangals discovered where the dudes were hanging: “While they were leaving, fans started to notice it was them and started chasing after them,” witnessed our Bahama insider. “It was mostly teen girls with some guys mixed in, but they [chased] them…and the guys happily posed for pictures in the lobby of the hotel.”

Well that all sounds pretty innocent and friendly,

Oh sweet summertime in Hollywood…you never know when (or where) Tinseltown’s hottest will catch you by surprise!

We’re used to seeing the oh-so-sexy Joe Jonas hanging at H’wood hot spots with bromance buddy Wilmer Valderrama, but this time the eldest JoBro hit the Bahamas with his brother Nick Jonas for a little R&R.

So, just how many chickies were by their side as the JoBros flashed their steamy Bahama bods?

Around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday night, Nick and Joe Jonas hit up the casino at the Atlantis in Nassau and stayed very under the radar.

According to our savvy Bahamas source, Joe was dressed in a pink polo, while Nick was in a brown sports coat and white shirt and rocking a buzz cut. They were flying solo at the casino with three large security guards and went straight to the ATM upon arrival.

And turns out, the JoBros don’t have quite the following in the Bahamas (or maybe they are all just fans of Kevin?!), because no one seemed to notice these famous siblings even with their protective security guards in tow!
But as much as the bros tried to lie low, one lucky gal spotted the sexy singers and approached them: “A pretty fangirl walked up to Joe and asked if he really was who he was,” our insider witnessed. “He confirmed his identity, but when the fan asked Joe for a hug he just said, ‘I’ll shake your hand.’”

Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, and Nick’s new buzzed hair posed for a photo on June 9, 2012. Joe shared the picture above with his fans, but didn’t tell them what he and Nick were up to. What are your guesses?

Nick, Joe and Kevin have been busy working on new music. Also, Kevin and his wife Danielle Jonas are filming a reality show called “Married To Jonas” while Joe is going to be one of the hosts of a singing competition show called “The Next: Fame Is At Your Doorstep.”

Nick hasn’t announced a side project yet since his role in Broadway’s “How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying” just ended, but we have a feeling he’ll have an announcement for us all soon!

VIDEO: JOE JONAS INTERVIEW – WHAT HE LOOKS FOR IN HIS DREAM GIRL!

Joe Jonas is gearing up for his episode of Fox’s reality dating show, The Choice — and to let viewers get to know him a little bit better… he’s dishing on what he looks for in his ideal girlfriend. Joe also chatted about his best date as well as his worst date…. And revealed his biggest deal-breaker!

WHAT DOES JOE JONAS THINK OF ONE DIRECTION?

Since One Direction showed up on the scene, lots of people have been trying to compare them with other boy bands.

First it was with the Wanted, because of some similarities (like both groups are made up of 5 Brit boys, and they started to get famous at the same time). Of course, both groups shot down the rivalry rumors, so now there’s a new “rival” band:

The Jonas Brothers!

The supposed rivalry took over the internet, but Joe Jonas quickly cleared up the situation on Twitter:

“Rumors are funny…love the 1D guys. Couldn’t be happier for them! Keep it up boys!”

So that’s the official word – there’s no hard feelings here.

DI Exclusive: Demi Lovato Talks The Jonas Brothers At X Factor Auditons

Earlier this morning we posted that our Vice President Nicholas Ahwal got the opportunity to meet Demi Lovato, Britney Spears, Simon Cowell and LA. Reid at a X Factor taping in San. Francisco CA.

I attended this long day event, and I have to say Demi Lovato is such a nice person signing autographs for fans, and taking pictures. If missed from my earlier post, I posted that Demi winked at me and thanked me for buying her album. Later she signed it for me, which is the photo above!

Though I forgot to mention something huge. When a boy band, group of three, came up to sing an original song Demi asked them questions.

One of the questions that Demi asked the boy band was in her own words,

“You remind me a lot of a group that I know of. How would your music and personalities defrenciate from other boy bands of let’s just say the Jonas Brothers?”

Unfortunately the band did not make it through.

When Demi mentioned the Jonas Brothers the crowd went into a craze.

You must credit Disneyinfonet and WeAdoreMiley if you post any content onto your own website.

If anybody has any questions about Demi, Britney or anything dealing with X Factor feel free to ask them in the comments below and I would be more than happy to respond to you all!

''Maybe [I'll] just have dinner with somefriends, honestly. Every birthday I have I’m normally on tour. It’s always a cool way to celebrate. We have a bunch of people together and we all hang out and have a big celebration. I think it’ll be nice to just do something a little bit chill this time.''

THE INSIDER — JOE JONAS: I DON’T WANNA BE THE BAD GUY

JOE JONAS: I DON’T WANNA BE THE BAD GUY..

With Joe Jonas mentoring on The Next, Nick Jonas rumored to be in the running for an American Idol judges seat and Kevin Jonas starring on an E! reality show, the brothers are once again utterly omnipresent. And that’s unlikely to change as the trio announced they’d be getting the band back together for a concert at Radio City Music Hall on October 11!

And if that goes well, a new tour could be in the offing, according to Joe, who chatted with TheInsider.com this morning about their new musical sound and what you can expect from tonight’s all-new episode of The Next: Fame is at Your Doorstep!
TheInsider.com: The Next doesn’t put any of the decision in your hands, did not having to be “the bad guy” play into your decision to do the show?
Joe Jonas: I’ll be real, I’m happy that I’m not voting on any of the artists [laughs]. It’s a scary situation to be in a room surrounded by their friends and family and are the one making the final decision. I got a sampling of that, being on American Idol for one episode. There are times you have to be real with people because you want these artists to understand if they were good or not. It can be difficult because you feel bad if they’re young and new to this, but I remember being young and preferring tough constructive criticism than finding out the person wasn’t being honest. The music industry is tough, and it’s nice to mentor these artists, but there’s a lot of good talent out there, so it’s only going to get tougher and tougher.
Insider.com: What do you think the advantage is to not having typical audition rounds?
Joe: Well, first, it’s fun because we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We surprise the artists and have 72 hours to work with them. A lot of these shows, you have an artist get on stage, say “Hey” and sing a song without knowing anything about them. You don’t know what inspired them to sing that song or why they want to be a professional musician, so this is a really cool way to go about it.
Insider.com: Plus, you move in with them, so there’s a non-competition reality show element to it as well.
Joe: Yea, I think it’s going to bring a lot of reality show fans into the audience. It’s a good energy show – we don’t try to make it too competitive. We’re not “The Greatest Competition Show on Earth.” We want to have fun and give these artists as much info as we can in as short an amount of time to see what they come up with.
Insider.com: What city does the show go to tonight?
Joe: We go to Baltimore tonight and I’m pretty excited about it. My artist is really talented and I think people are going to be so surprised with his backstory, it’s very similar to mine. I hope people enjoy and really fall in love with this show.
Insider.com: What does this show mean for your solo music?
Joe: I really am all about The Jonas Brothers music again. That’s kind of my focus right now. I’m excited to put 100 percent back into that and focus on that. The solo stuff will come when the time is right, but right now, I’m looking forward to the show. We’re going to be doing some shows outside of The U.S. and we’ll be coming back to do another big tour … hopefully.
Insider.com: What can you say about the new music? How has the band’s sound evolved?
Joe: It’s evolved a lot. We put a lot of pressure on ourselves to make this the greatest record yet and I really feel like we’re getting there. The music is really different. I mean, it’s been three years since we’ve made music together, so we’ve had lots of time to evolve and go through different things to make us who we are now. We’ve been in the studio for the last few months, so you can expect new music in the next few weeks.
Insider.com: What kind of reactions have you been getting to the reunion news?
Joe: I’ve been talking to fans and they’re hungry for The Jonas Brothers again, I feel like there’s always people out there who want to hear new music and we can’t wait to give it to them!
The Next: Fame Is at Your Doorstep airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on The CW.

Joe Jonas Wants To Tour With One Direction & The Wanted (@joejonas, @onedirection, @thewantedmusic, @jonasbrothers)

Joe Jonas was recently quoted as saying that he would love for the Jonas Brothers to tour with One Direction and The Wanted in a boy-band-extravaganza. Joe says, “I’m happy for One Direction, I’m happy for The Wanted, I think those guys are all really good people. I’m glad it’s happening to them. I feel for them too, I’ve been there, so I know the craziness.” When asked if they would ever tour together, Joe says, “I would say yes. I think my music is different from the way they sound. But, I’m always open to the opportunity.” Would you like to see a Jonas Brothers, One Direction, and The Wanted mega-tour in the future?!
